Slated for a June 12th release, Jurassic World will be the fourth movie in the Jurassic Park series, hitting theaters almost 14 years after Jurassic Park III. Past films in the series combined huge budgets with huge dinosaurs, and it doesn’t look like Jurassic World plans to buck that trend.
The first and third Jurassic Park movies focused on a small group of people doing their best to survive and escape from John Hammond’s dinosaur-themed park, but Jurassic World looks like it’s upping the stakes. Taking place 22 years after the original Jurassic Park, there’s now a fully-functioning dinosaur zoo and theme park on Isla Nublar, where the events of the first film unfolded. The new park, Jurassic World, turns deadly when a genetically modified dinosaur called the Indominus Rex breaks free and starts wreaking havoc.
Featuring famed actors Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help), and Judy Greer (Archer), Jurassic World won’t be pulling any prehistoric punches when it comes to talent. With a strong cast and some enormous dinosaurs, Jurassic World looks to offer thrilling entertainment to Jurassic Park fans both new and old.
