Disney Pixar’s Inside Out (Preview)

Inside Out is an animated film from Pixar, a studio with a top-notch pedigree.  They’ve created beloved animated movies such as Toy Story, WALL-E, and The Incredibles.  Pixar’s known for movies that are both funny and family-friendly, and Inside Out looks like it’ll keep up that tradition. Inside Out tells the story of a girl named Riley who has recently moved with her family to San Francisco.  Inside each character’s head is a control room from which various personified emotions — Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sdness — control their human host, and Riley’s emotions start going crazy as she tries to adjust to life in San Francisco.

Tragedy strikes when Sadness and Joy become lost in the depths of Riley’s mind, and have to find their way back to their headquarters.  With an all-star voice cast including Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation) as Joy, Phyllis Smith (The Office) as Sadness, Mindy Kaling (The Office) as Disgust, Lewis Black (The Daily Show) as Anger, and Kyle Machlachlan (Twin Peaks) as Riley’s father, Inside Out looks like a film that’s worth keeping an eye on.
